I have too much stuff. I just bought a 28 foot sailboat and need to
make room for her here. The trailer in the picture needs a lot of work
but does the job as is, could be better though.
The boat has a 1985 VRO Johnson 175HP Engine with a stainless steal
prop. The engine has a new stator, rectifier, power pack and fuel pump
($1700). Apparently the mechanic thought these were all reasons why the
motor was not charging the batteries. Come to find out, you can't
charge a dead battery. The boat is a 1976 over-nighter walk-around
cuddy cabin. My wife and I have spent the night on her with no
problems. There is even room for a porta potty. The 70 gallon aluminum
fuel tank has a leak somewhere so I just use a portable fuel tank. If
someone wishes to repair the old fuel tank it is still on board. The
boat is not much to look at but handles the open water nicely and was
designed as a family off shore boat. She needs very little work to be
ship shape by this spring. I have more new parts alone on this boat
then my asking price but I don't have the resources or TIME to own two
boats.
